I think it’s very important to get outside of our grooves and patterns that we can get stuck in and a great way to do so is in your creativity, I’m feeling like community collage craft last week helped inspire thinking outside of my usual groove … 🦋

Some sweet plant collage totes for @taosherb are drying and being printed in the shop 🍃

Roses are a favorite of mine to witness the opening and the beauty, I often take many pictures of my bouquets for references - I think it’s time to crave some more roses 🌹

Finally carved the nighthawk🌟

I originally made the design about a year ish ago & I adore the way the pajaritos come together as I explore how the block wants to be patterned 🪶

Very thankful for the feathered friends and the messages they bring along with them and I’m eternally grateful to be able to admire + honor them with my art ♥️

Some slides of nighthawk play, some admiration of the variety of scarves that I’ve made these past few weeks, a fun new bamboo bug sweater, a pile of onesies in the shop and my face for visibility…. Some experiments of printing on panel, too.

Some stink bugs and lady bugs 🐞
I always find joy in the stink bugs in the warmers months in northern New Mexico. The way they stick their butts up in the air when a threat is near and then they keep on about their way - Always moving and grooving, with their black exoskeletons juxtaposed perfectly against the rainbows of browns and reds of the grounds they walk on …. And come on LADYBUGS - bring smiles all around 🐞 always happy to witness them taking care of the plants and playing their part in the grand weaving of how all life intersects and interacts 🍃

A series of snippets from the past few weeks

I really do enjoy being so busy I forget when the last time I made a social media post was ….

I persist in printing through the chaos of the world, I spent 5 hours Saturday over hot pots in the heat of the day dyeing 120ish blank scarves - I didn’t get a pic of that or the piles of them needing to be ironed before pressing prints into them

I’m thankful, my studio time is full, new smiling faces walk into the shop as I hand press prints actively making more art for this chaotic world - a consistent response is how beautiful it all is….this is all worth it for that - giving people a moment of wonder

Come by and say hi, help me disassociate from the 300th magpie print I press

When these are all done I’m pretty sure it’s some thousands of presses I’ve done - and a strong right arm to show for it

Lots of new linen I haven’t posted or properly captured is hanging ready to be worn, too - support local wearable functional art if you can or send your visitors over to see something cool - help me feed my kids and get a new windshield

I’m been deep in dye pots, prints runs, customs designs, and carving these past few weeks - go grab a sweet canvas tote @taosherb ! Find some bandanas in an art vending machine maybe….

I have enjoyed a shaded spot to dye in the beautiful front yard on these sunny hot days although double tasking isn’t really a thing when swirling fabric in the pot.

I’m thankful for being able to expand Wilde.Ink, and spend hours in creative flow even when it’s ironing 60 bandanas …. Or burning my hands squeezing out hot water from fabrics.

From all this busy, I haven’t been concerned with getting snaps of all the creations lately - but I will say there are NEW linen offerings in the shop live in person - so come on by and say hi to scope them out ;)

I had to revamp an old design, sometimes blocks get worn and torn 💖
